We found out a couple weeks ago that Baby B is a little BOY! So now everyone knows!

We’ve just wrapped up Month 5 of the pregnancy, and Baby has been kicking hard and strong every day for several weeks now. You can even sometimes see him thumping away from the outside, but we haven’t caught it on video yet. Hoping to do so soon, so we can share some fun images of that!

I (Amber) have found that sometimes having a strong, healthy baby growing inside me isn’t always the easiest thing. While I’m excited to know that he’s doing well every time I feel him move, it’s getting a little exhausting being woken up by his wild dance moves in the middle of the night! I’m guessing we’re going to have a very “spirited” little guy with lots and lots of energy. I’m hoping Jon’s will strap him onto a snowboard next winter to help burn some of that energy off and help the little guy get to sleep at night!

I need to try to get the latest ultrasound pictures scanned sometime this week – will try to get them posted soon.

Actually, we know what we’re having now! We had our 20-week ultrasound yesterday, and were able to find out the sex of the baby… but aren’t going public with that information quite yet.

We’ll be spending Christmas in North Dakota with Amber’s relatives, and she wants to let them all take a look at her and think about her symptoms, and then make their guesses. THEN, we will tell who is right!

(I get a real kick out of old wives tales, and want to use this opportunity to see just how accurate the old methods might be for predicting gender! -Amber)

We haven’t taken a lot of pictures lately, but here’s one from 18 weeks, 5 days along (last week). I’m talking to the dog in this picture but you can’t see him because he’s so short!
