One more day in the hospital
Jon just called and said that the doctor is now saying he won’t be discharged until tomorrow morning – not this afternoon as we had been told before. Bummer. He’s getting a little bored, and the pain medicine makes it hard for him to browse the web or read anything on his laptop since he’s so tired and groggy. At least it won’t be much longer.
He used a walker for a bit this morning, and this afternoon he got some practice on the crutches. He said it was a little hard at first, but then he got the hang of it pretty quickly. It’s amazing that he can be up and moving about again, when just yesterday morning he was in such excruciating pain! The resiliency of the human body is an amazing thing.
I’m glad they are taking their time releasing him. One extra day to give his body a chance to get over the shock of it all. We’ll see you this weekend – perhaps not on Saturday after all. Love and kisses to you all, Mom
