  12. [...] This guy (Jon) is swapping an R32 including the AWD into a Jetta wagon: This page is dedicated to my R32 swap project. Specifically, I will be taking all the mechanics of a wrecked ‘04 VW R32 and putting them into an ‘02 Jetta wagon. I chose a GLX model for the interior and wood grain and since it was already as close to an R32 in features as I could get. [...]

Wow cool project!! What kind of paint/undercoating did you use to protect the new metal in the back of the car?

  16. Jonon 30 May 2008 at 7:11 am

For the undercoating/sealing, I used “Seam Seal” which is a brushable think rubber coating.

Hi Jon, Looks Great!! Ever think about doing a swap like this for someone else? (ME) If you are interested please drop me a line and we can talk about it. I’d try it myself but I am scheduled for spinal surgery soon and I can’t wait til I’m done healing.. Anyway keep up the great work. It looks awesome!!!!!!!!

Dude sick ride Your the man @ fabrication. I want one. If you put a dual exit rear valance on the back and extended the exhaust pipes so the tips were with the valens like the original r32 it would look f**kin mean bro.
